Sister Sense
Sister Sense was started by Katie Taylor, a health psychologist, and Julie Ursic, a social worker and attorney, to fill a need for evidence-based programming focused on sleep, postpartum adjustment, parenthood transitions and anxiety/mood management.
As they worked with individual clients, Katie and Julie noticed a strong interest in practical and direct strategies that could be applied to manage stress and adjust to life transitions. This led them to create brief workshops focused on some of the most common issues clients brought to sessions.
Julie and Katie have six children between them, and have direct experience with raising multiples, getting through gestational diabetes, managing sleep issues, balancing career and family responsibilities, dealing with postpartum OCD and finding creative ways to move through stressful times.
They are certified in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. Both have intensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i).

Katie and Julie live on opposite sides of California and can often be found at soccer practices, cheese factories and arguing with each other (a lot! they are sisters!).
